If you know anything about Christian music then you know that Michael Tait is a household name among Christian teens around the world. DC Talk exploded onto the music scene and topped the Billboard charts with songs like "Jesus Freak." With countless number one records and awards, DC Talk remains in the forefront of Christian music today. In addition to being a member if DC Talk, Michael Tait formed the band TAIT and recorded a solo album titled EMPTY, a new project that is one of the DC Talk solo releases. EMPTY is now available.
You can bet that Charlie Peacock holds a special place in his heart for the song "The Only Light We Need". Not only did he get to sing it with Michael Tait, he co-wrote it as well. As a musician, record producer, and writer, Peacock has been featured in major newspapers and periodicals such as The Chicago Tribune, Mix, Electronic Musician, Melody Maker, and Billboard.
Named by Billboard's Encyclopedia of Record Producers as one of the 500 most important record producers in music history, Charlie is also the only three-time recipient of the Gospel Music Association's Dove Award for Producer of the Year.
Peacock is the author of At The Crossroads as well as featured essays in several books including It Was Good—a collection of essays on artmaking. He also serves as Principal Artist Faculty of the Wheaton Conservatory of Music, International Improvisational Institute.
Charlie is currently serving as the head of A&R at Forefront Records. In addition, Grammy nominee, Charlie Peacock has recorded with a wide variety of artists including Al Green, Ce Ce Winans, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Sixpence None The Richer, Amy Grant, DC Talk, Bela Fleck, and saxophonists Ravi Coltrane and Jeff Coffin. He is the songwriter of such popular, million selling songs as "In the Light" and "Every Heartbeat." On the issue of spirituality and music, Charlie Peacock has contributed commentary and opinion to NPR's All Things Considered and Talk of the Nation, as well USA Today and The Wall Street Journal.
